Event includes a 50-60 minute presentation (starts 11am). Telescopes and other equipment will be on display. Society members will be available for advice and demonstrations.

Speak to experienced amateur astronomers, a representative from BishopFM Radio will also be attending from about 12:30

From 1:30 – weather permitting – we will be viewing sunspots outside, and hope to observe Jupiter in broad daylight.

We also hope to arrange a night-time observing session during the week following this event, which will be open to the public. Date and time will be dependent on the weather forecast for that week, and will be announced at this event.
