Blackheath-stargazingAn evening observing event to coincide with National Astronomy Week and also the International Sidewalk Astronomy Night which is dedicated to John Dobson (amateur astronomer and the inventor of the Dobsonian mount) who died on January 15th.

There should be plenty to see. Hopefully we can show visitors a good selection of Galaxies, Clusters, Nebula, plus Doubles and even the odd Planet.

The plan is to meet on Blackheath, just north of Talbot Place, which is a right turn off Goffers Road as you head towards Shooters Hill Road. Talbot Place is a cul-de-sac. A map of the site can be found here.

No booking is needed, and all are welcome.

We will send a go/no-go message via Twitter, e-mail and text message (for subscribers), after checking the weather conditions and forecast.

Blackheath is quite exposed, so please remember to wrap up warm.

If you have any questions about the Blackheath Stargazing Session, then please contact us.
