Join Breckland Astronomical Society to celebrate National Astronomy Week! Our members will be on hand to guide you round the sky.

The Observatory is a Milky Way class Dark Sky Discovery Site.

The main subject will be mighty Jupiter, the biggest, most dynamic planet in the solar system. In early March it will be high in the sky, forming a striking cross shaped pattern with Betelgeuse, Sirius and Procyon. Vesta and Ceres will also be visible in the same binocular view, with Mars nearby.

We will also be taking part in the CPRE  annual Star count in Orion.

THE EVENTS ARE SUBJECT TO SATISFACTORY VIEWING CONDITIONS.

To check if the Observatory will be open see our website or contact 01 953 850 626.
