Join the Royal Observatory Edinburgh team for an evening to celebrate National Astronomy Week at the Almondell Country Park Visitor Centre.
4:30pm-6:30pm (activities designed for children aged 8 years and upwards)
As the Rosetta mission makes its way towards a comet, find out what ingredients make up these interesting objects. Help to create our very own Hubble Deep Field image, showing lots of different galaxies in our Universe. Handle a real rock from space! Find out tips on how to find your way around the night sky and, if the skies are clear, you’ll have the opportunity to view Jupiter through our telescopes. Walk through our constellations in the garden! The activities will be BSL interpreted.
