To mark National Astronomy Week 2014, Durham Astronomical Society will be hosting three public observing events across the County:
Tuesday 4th March at Hardwick Park, Sedgefield, TS21 2DN
Thursday 6th March at Harehope Quarry near Frosterley, DL13 2SG
Saturday 8th March at Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve, East Rainton,DH4 6PU
This year’s theme is Jupiter, and there will be a chance to see ‘the king of the planets’ through volunteers’ telescopes. All three events will run from 7-9pm and are free to the public with voluntary donations to the society. If it is cloudy, there will be a talk.
