We have set our pupils in our Astronomy ans Planetary Science Club a research task on Jupiter, using laptops and Powerpoint presentations. The pupils have been tasked with looking into one of a choice of features related to Jupiter, put together a ‘poster or presentation’ with the best winning Astronomy binoculars (if funding permits)

The choice of Jupiter features to research include:

Atmosphere and Weather
The Great Red Spot
Io
Europa
Ganymede & Callisto
Clouds
Composition: outer layers, inner layers, core
Formation of Jupiter
Vital statistics compared to Earth (size, diameter, volume, gravity, weight of a human on Jupiter)
Rotations on its axis, rotation around the Sun and seasons?
