Run by Kernow Astronomers, in conjunction with the National Trust.
The Sun ‘n Stars March 2014 event is held at Carnewas *, the National Trust property near Bedruthan Steps.
The event will commence about 1 1/2 hours before sunset allowing observation of the Sun – as the site is on the cliffs with excellent western horizon, the Sun can be seen setting ‘into the sea’.
There is a crescent Moon which will allow it to be observed through the twilight into full darkness when the planets, stars and other celestial sights should be visible.
Telescopes will be provided by Kernow Astronomers and its members and all are very welcome.
There is no charge.
* Carnewas has recently been awarded Dark Sky Discovery status.
